Help Us Meet a $10,000 Grant for the FTC!
What a gift! Late in 2017 CWO was awarded a $10,000 matching grant for the Feminine Training Centers (FTCs) in Haiti from a very generous foundation. Stipulations of receiving the grant require that we secure an additional $10,000 in funds attributed to the FTC. If you would like to help fund the school we would be honored.
Educating Women, Building Futures
With FTCs in Port-au-Prince and Mirebalais, we help women of all ages receive vocational training, find work or start a business and know Jesus. The students want to build a future for themselves and their families by learning skills in sewing, cooking, cake decorating, crafts and cosmetology. With FTC students graduating every year since 1983, we’ve helped more than 4,000 women create self-sustaining lives. In 2017 90% of students completed the class work and passed the state-administered exam. Each student becomes involved in a weekly Bible study, so students graduate with skills and confidence as well as knowing that Jesus loves them!
The school helps to lift women out of poverty and find work and a way to become self-sufficient. The FTC makes a real difference!

Hosting an Event to Benefit CWO
Do you like getting together with people for a common purpose or activity? Do you wish there was a way to help CWO but you just don’t have the funds to make it happen? Well, we have some ideas for you!
One of the best ways to help CWO is to tell others what CWO means to you. And you can do that in a multitude of ways:
Host a gathering in your home – have a few couples over for coffee and dessert and invite one of our staff members over to tell about our work. We’ll answer questions and tell stories about how God is working in our ministry.
Create an event – choose something you love and create an event around it! For example
- Neighborhood fun run – get sponsors ask for a small donation for participants or they can get sponsors per miles.
- Bowl-a-Thon – Invite friends to bowl, get sponsors per lane and bowl as many games as you can.
- Craft Night – have friends over to make a craft, ask them to buy the supplies and then donate to CWO.
Sell items you’ve made – from lemonade and cookies to fine art, you can sell your personal creations to raise money for CWO
